The positive power of foster parenting
Have you considered becoming a foster parent? For youth looking for a chance to become who they want to be, having someone to guide them on that path is a life changer.
There are times when a child must be separated from his/her birth parents due to abuse, neglect or significant family issues. When this occurs, the child is placed with a foster family. Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois (LCFS) can help you become a licensed foster parent. We also provide follow-up training and support as you open your home to one or more children in need of care.
Learn about the positive power of foster parenting and all that it entails at LCFS' Foster Care Open House, Thursday, March 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lutherbrook Child and Adolescent Center, 333 W. Lake Street in Addison. No reservations are required, and refreshments will be served. If you have questions, contact LCFS at 800-363-LFCS or lcfs_info@lcfs.org.
