Bio of Barbara Walters at Schaumburg library

Dramatist-storyteller Jenny Riddle will present a unique, “off camera” view of America's most celebrated interviewer in “Barbara Walters' Audition” from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the Rasmussen South Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Find out how this feisty interviewer cut through the glass ceiling and managed to be on the cutting edge of television performance for 40 years.

How did she get that first big interview with Barbra Streisand and her live-in hairdresser? What were some of the highlights and low points of her journey?

Audience members will learn intimate details about the woman who was the fist female co-anchor on prime time news, and be treated to “Barbara” singing a parody of “My Way.”

Registration is required for this program.

Register by calling the library at (847) 923-3347.
