Art, music teachers share a dream at Lowery Music Studio

In 1972, Sharon Lowery began teaching piano lessons to a single student in her home in Elgin. Forty years later, Sharon has taught over a thousand students and has managed Lowery Music Studio in West Dundee for the past 18 years.

Two years ago, Sharon and Deborah Weaver had a conversation and realized that they shared a dream and a passion. Both enjoyed teaching people of all ages to expand their minds and abilities and pursue a new way of looking at things through the arts Deborah Weaver has had a passion for art her entire life. She has taught privately for 20 years most recently teaching classes at the Senior Center. Sharon and Deborah merged their two business ideas and are now offering music and art lessons at 804 Roundabout in West Dundee.

Piano and art lessons are not the only two things that can be learned at Lowery Music Studio. The studio offers group and private guitar lessons by Claude Quisenberry. Michele Pitre offers voice, flute and trumpet lessons. Music students have multiple chances to perform and show off their abilities. The American Grands at ECC, Sonatina festivals, Illinois State Music events are a few of the opportunities available to music students.

Art students of all ages have the opportunity to "Make it and take it" Saturday classes complete an oil painting in one day from 10:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. then take it home. Drawing classes are also available from Deborah. Join us for an open house on Satuday, Oct 13, from noon to 3 p. m.
