Stevenson rebounds, wins at Elk Grove

Stevenson’s girls volleyball team didn’t lament its Wednesday loss to North Suburban Conference rival Libertyville.

On Saturday, the Patriots won the Elk Grove tournament by going 5-0.

Stevenson capped the invite with a 25-17, 25-20 win over Barrington. Jenna Radtke had 6 kills and 4 aces, and Liza Pflugradt added 4 kills, as the Patriots improved their overall record to 17-2. Khaila Donaldson contributed 3 kills, 3 solo blocks and 3 aces for Stevenson, while Elizabeth Shancer had 10 digs.

The Patriots also captured wins over Willowbrook (25-16, 25-15), Lakes (25-16, 25-16), Crystal Lake South (25-22, 25-20) and Elk Grove (25-16, 25-7). Pflugradt slammed 10 kills against Willowbrook and added six against Lakes.

Harvard invite: Antioch went 4-1 to finish second, losing only to Oregon in three sets.

Marissa Grant led Antioch (12-7), totaling 55 assists, 30 digs, 15 aces and 7 kills in the Sequoits’ five matches.
