Gotlund, Fabbri pace Mundelein victory

Holly Gotlund shot a 41 and Courteney Fabbri added a 42 on the back nine at Countryside Golf Course, leading Mundelein's girls golf team to a 174 and nine-stroke win over Carmel Catholic on Tuesday.
Cristina Loverde carded a 43, and Hannah Thompson had a 48 for Mundelein.

Carmel (183) was paced by Bella Bagshaw's 43 and Taylor Smith's 45.
Vernon Hills tri-meet: At Vernon Hills Golf Course, Libertyville's Camilla Ou earned medalist honors with a 39, as Deerfield (176) claimed wins over Libertyville (192) and Vernon Hills (201).
Vernon Hills received matching 49s from Fayth Kim and Katherine Koczwara.
Deerfield was led by the 42s turned in by Lauren Kelsey and Anna Cohen.
