Schaumburg library encourages library card sign-up

To celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month, the Schaumburg Township District Library has a small gift for all those who sign up for a library card or update the information on their current card throughout September.

“A library card opens up a world of information, entertainment, homework help, business assistance and so much more,” said Susan Miura, the library’s public relations coordinator. “You can check out books and movies, computer software, DVDs, CDs, and access a plethora of information and databases on the library’s website.”

To register for a library card, bring in two forms of identification that show proof of residency.

To update or renew a library card, simply bring in the old card. The Library Card Registration Desk is located in the lobby of the central library at 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, and at the Hanover Park and Hoffman Estates branch libraries.
