Volunteer Center offers HR workshop Feb. 23

The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago will be hosting their next workshop on Volunteer Management, HR Issues in Nonprofits on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

This workshop will cover HR and regulatory compliance issues that HR personnel or executive directors should be aware of but perhaps are not.

Other issues that will be discussed include: "Employee Handbooks – Do You Really Need One?"; the importance of job descriptions; what a good offer letter should contain; and other upcoming employment law changes on the horizon.

Gregory D. Stobbe JD SPHR, Principal, WorkForce Advisors, Ltd. will be presenting.

The workshop takes place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

This workshop will be $30 for TVC members (Note: Members may use one of their two complimentary workshops for this event) and $60 for non-members.
