Dist. 94 seeks applicants for board vacancy

West Chicago Community High School District 94 is accepting applications to fill a school board vacancy.

John Jensen, a board member since 2003, resigned this week due to scheduling conflicts.

The new member will serve until the April 2011 election. Interested residents may submit an application letter to Katherine M. Doremus, president of the Board of Education of Community High School Dist. 94, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago, IL 60185.

Applications also may be left at the superintendent's or business office. Applicants should submit a resume and letter that provides evidence of residency, age, voter registration and citizenship, along with education level, school or other related experiences that would be an asset to the board and reasons for wanting to be on the school board.

The deadline to apply is Aug. 27.
