New Blackhawk Middle School principal named

Bob Pape has been appointed principal at Blackhawk Middle School, 250 S. Church Road in Bensenville, which serves 650 students in sixth through eighth grade.

Pape comes from Addison District 4, where he was principal of Army Trail Elementary School since 2008. Effective July 1, Pape replaces Gina Piraino, who resigned to take a post out of the district. Pape also served as an assistant principal and classroom teacher.

His appointment was approved by the board of education June 16, after being selected following an individual interview and a team interview that was conducted by teachers, administrators, board members and parents.
