What challenges did the Class of 2022 face as they returned to in-person school full time, and how did they overcome them: Since we started the school year still with COVID running its course, students were fully masked and having to social distance. While students were excited to go back in person there was still a feeling of not being able to connect because of the masks and having to be 6 feet apart. We were able to give students experiences like our homecoming dance outdoors to have the students feel a sense of belonging and normalcy.
Principal's reflections on the Class of 2022: A strong voice, passion, loyalty and perseverance are all traits that come to mind when I think about the class of 2022. These were probably the most unique and challenging four years for any graduating class! You, the Class of 2022, had to deal with constant change: different schedules, cancellations, and events taking place in unusual formats, but you showed true innovative spirit and took advantage of the opportunity to rethink time and space. Our school is such a special place and that is because of you and all the amazing connections you've made during your four years at North. Class of 2022, Grayslake North High School has given you the opportunity to grow and be part of something larger than yourself.
Stay well and never forget: Once a Knight, Always a Knight.
