Thanksgiving celebration at Elgin's St. John's Lutheran School
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, students at St. John's Lutheran School in Elgin held their Thanksgiving celebration.
Staff, students and their families gathered in the church for a brief service, which included a video of the children saying what they were thankful for.
Everyone then went to the cafeteria for treats, crafts and pumpkin pie made by the kindergarten and first-grade classes.
After the holiday break, classes resume on Monday, Nov. 27.
St. John's is a preschool to first grade school in downtown Elgin.
