Tate & Lyle receives Super Partner Award for support to local school

Tate & Lyle PLC (Tate & Lyle), a world leader in ingredient solutions for healthier food and beverages, has received the Super Partner Award from School District 54 in recognition of its support to Enders-Salk Elementary School. The school is located in Schaumburg, which is local to Tate & Lyle's Customer Innovation and Collaboration Centre in Hoffman Estates.

The district's Super Partner Award is given annually at its Partnership Breakfast to local organizations, businesses or individuals that have provided extraordinary support to a school or district department over the years. The partnership between Tate & Lyle and Enders-Salk is part of District 54 Education Foundation's Food 4 Thought program, which finds sponsors for schools wishing to provide students with the opportunity for a nutritious breakfast to help them to start the day ready to learn.

Over the last seven years, Tate & Lyle has provided over 70,000 nutritious breakfast meals for students at Enders-Salk School. In addition, the company has supported the school's garden club, which provides opportunities to learn through nutrition education sessions, planting and harvesting activities in the garden itself and mentorship with career advice to approximately 60 students on an annual basis. Tate & Lyle employees also volunteer to serve as judges for the annual science fair - providing feedback and support to over 120 projects each year.*
