St. Emily students win big in Mount Prospect Fire Department Fire Prevention Poster Contest

St. Emily School was honored to have 24 students in kindergarten through fifth grade recognized as winners in the 2023 Mount Prospect Fire Department Fire Prevention Poster Contest. Nine of the first place winners were then selected as village-wide winners and were honored at Mount Prospect Village Hall on Nov. 7.

The Village-wide winners are:

Amelia Kowalczyk, kindergarten

Gabi Wojewoda, kindergarten

Andy Hernandez, first grade

Jacob Wagner, first grade

Mara Wester, first grade

Matthew Valera, second grade

Kasi Tagbo,third grade

Sofia Favia, fourth grade

Madison Rosa, fifth grade

The St. Emily School winners are:

Fifth grade: Kaleigh Willing, first place; Olivia Morjal, second place; Allison Nieroda, honorable mention

Fourth grade: Rylee Vanmany, first place; Arielle Tagbo, third place; Elina Kifarkis, honorable mention

Third grade: Ava Budzioch, first place; Anthony Fricano, second place; Zach Moolan, honorable mention

Second grade: Madeline Maurer, first place; Miguel Rodriguez, second place; Frida Jasso Segovia, honorable mention

First grade: Dylan Fernando, honorable mention

Kindergarten: Lucas Nagadzhyna, second place; Gisella LiRosi, honorable mention
