D23 Salutes MacArthur's Class of 2023 With a District-wide Parade

The entire Prospect Heights School District 23 community gathered for a parade on Friday, May 26, to send off MacArthur Middle School's graduating eighth-grade class.

Students in grades one to seven, as well as families, lined up outside of the school to cheer for the graduates as they processed along the parade route. The eighth graders gave high fives to many of the teachers who have taught them over the years.

The parade included a Prospect Heights police escort, the Hersey High School drumline and the school mascot, making this year-end celebration all the more festive and fun.

The eighth graders will graduate on Wednesday, May 31.

District 23 also held a School's Out Celebration on Thursday, May 25, at Sullivan Elementary School. Students and families from all four District schools came together to celebrate the end of a successful year and the arrival of summer, with free Kona Ice for all students and additional treats for families.
