St. Emily School Students Awarded in Memorial Day Essay Contest

St. Emily School students were recently honored for their essays about Memorial Day. American Legion Commander Bill Starr presented awards to four students for their compelling essays in the Veterans of Mount Prospect Memorial Day Essay Contest.

Ashley Laskiewicz, seventh grade, won second place; Yuliana Manzanares, seventh grade, won third place; and Honorable Mention went to Mina Brnic, sixth grade, and Jack Strahammer, seventh grade.
