Fox River Grove announces Business Capital Assistance Program

In March, the Fox River Grove village board approved the Business Capital Assistance Program which provides grants to new sales-tax-revenue-generating business or service-based business with a store front of leased or owned commercial space in Fox River Grove.

The village board's new program, BCAP, has the primary goals of attracting new businesses to current vacant commercial spaces within the village and to create and retain jobs locally.

The Business Capital Assistance Program is designed to assist those looking to locate to Fox River Grove by providing grants of up to $15,000 to eligible businesses.

Applicants must be a new sales-tax-revenue-generating business or service-based business with a store front of leased or owned commercial space in Fox River Grove.

An applicant business must generate walk-in traffic, or be otherwise open to the public.

"I am pleased to announce the creation of this new business assistance program," said Village President Marc McLaughlin. "The village Board has demonstrated its commitment to promoting economic development and strengthening the local tax base by committing $50,000 to Business Capital Assistance Program in the village's FY 2023/24 Budget."
