St. Charles North Theatre opens winter comedy 'Puffs' Feb. 2

St. Charles North High School will present the hysterical comedy "Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic" on Feb. 2-4.

Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday in the school auditorium, 255 Red Gate Road in St. Charles.

Written by Matt Cox, and originally produced off-Broadway in 2016, "Puffs" is a parody of the now classic and infamous story of the wizard boy and his seven years spent at a certain school of magic told through the perspective of three "Puffs."

Audiences all know of the story of the special boy who fought evil and saved the world; however, this is not his story.

"PUFFS" is the story of Wayne, his two friends Oliver and Megan, and the students in the House of Puff as they manage through a certain school of magic during a certain 7 years of time, as a certain evil wizard threatens to take over the world. By the end, one may become a hero … or not.

St. Charles North's production of "Puffs" has over 40 students involved from the cast on stage to the tech backstage.

Tickets are $7 or $5 for children and students.

Tickets can be purchased online at north.d303.org or at the box office one hour before the production.
