Find your perfect Valentine's Day gift at Fine Line's Dempsey Artisan Shop

Founded in 1979, Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles has been a haven for artists of all levels for over 40 years.

Providing year-round art instruction in various arts and crafts, the space is home to a fantastic cross-section of artists in the immediate community and beyond.

The mission of Fine Line, a nonprofit, is to support artists in the community and art classes are not the only way Fine Line achieves this.

Did you know that the Fine Line campus is also home to the Dempsey Artisan Shop?

Located in Fine Line's historic barn, the shop was named after Larry Dempsey and was opened in 1986. Dempsey donated the barn and the surrounding land to Fine Line founder Sister Denise Kavanagh.

The shop provides an outlet for local artists to sell their work to the public.

At the end of 2022, Fine Line made some upgrades to the space, including new lighting, display cases and new carpeting.

The enhanced environment provides the ideal setting to display artists' work in an open, welcoming space.

This space is a great place to find something special year-round.

When you visit the shop, you will find jewelry, pottery, scarves, paintings and much more, all handcrafted by local artists. Often carrying seasonal items, including Halloween pumpkins and Christmas decorations, there is currently a great selection of individually made hearts just in time for Valentine's Day.

The Dempsey Artisan Shop is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stop by at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center at 37W570 Bolcum Road, and take a look around. You never know what you will find.
