Arlington Heights Rotary Club offers vocational scholarships

Rotary International District 6440 is offering Career and Technical Education (CTE)/Vocational Scholarships to qualified applicants who are preparing to further themselves in a chosen vocation by attending a community college, technical training institution or career and technical education training program.

Career examples are auto mechanics, administrative assistants, heating/ventilating/air conditioning tech, computer tech, paralegal, pharmacy tech, human services, law enforcement, elder care and other fields.

Successful applicants will receive $1,500 scholarship awards that can be applied to tuition, books, tools and supplies that run concurrent with the specific CTE program being pursued.

Application is a two-step process:

Step one: Submit an application to the Arlington Heights Rotary Club by March 1. The club will screen, interview and recommend two candidates for further consideration by the District 6440 Vocational Scholarship Committee.

Step two. The District 6440 Vocational Scholarship Committee will interview candidates and make the final scholarship award decisions.
