Byline Bank celebrates Small Business Saturday Nov. 26

CHICAGO, IL (Nov. 15) - Byline Bank is proud to recognize the strength and resilience of local businesses on Small Business Saturday and is partnering with its business banking customers to support the independent organizations that make our communities thrive. As a top Small Business Administration lender in Illinois, Byline is committed to investing in its communities and partnering with local small- and medium-sized businesses to help them access the working capital they need to grow and succeed.

"At Byline, we believe small businesses contribute to the vitality and future sustainability of our communities," said Stephen Ball, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Banking at Byline Bank. "Right now, small businesses are challenged by inflation, the staffing and labor crisis, reduced foot traffic due to changing consumer habits and they are still very much in need of our support."

Throughout the month of November, Byline Bank branch managers have been supporting local restaurants and retailers in their community by purchasing nearly 1,000 gift cards from local businesses. In the weeks leading up to Small Business Saturday, Byline is giving away bright orange "Shop Local. Eat Local." t-shirts throughout their community to help create visibility for small businesses and increase engagement in Small Business Saturday activities. Anyone who visits a local Byline branch and brings a picture of themselves wearing the t-shirt on social media, tagging #BylineBank, will receive one of the $5 gift cards* to spend at local businesses (while supplies last).

"Success is the sum of small efforts made by a large group," said Susie Goldschmidt, Byline Bank Oak Park and River Forest Market President. "These businesses play such an important role in our communities, and we hope this simple act will breathe life into our community restaurants and storefronts for this holiday season and beyond."
