Holmstad Bazaar returns for 44th year Oct. 1

Now in its 44th year, the Covenant Living at the Holmstad Bazaar will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

Shoppers can anticipate finding something for everyone - from baked goods, wood and needle crafts, seasonal wreaths, designer knits, plants, and quilts, along with second-hand treasures such as jewelry, furniture, books, and household items.

The Holmstad Wood Shop has well-crafted wooden toys, holiday decor, and various home and garden items. Visit www.holmstadbazaar.com/category/artisans/ to see many of the featured Wood Shop pieces that will be for sale on Oct. 1.

There will also be a raffle for designer-knit wraps. Resident Wilma Van Arragon has used exquisite yarns and beads to knit four wraps. The four raffle winners will also receive a tote bag, made by Wilma, and a small bottle of soap to care for the delicate knits. You can enter to win on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The winners will be drawn at 2:30 p.m.

There will be coffee, sweets, and light lunch available, as well as a free cash drawing.

Credit cards are accepted.

Covenant Living at the Holmstad is located at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway in Batavia. Admission is free.

For information, call (877) 226-7310, Option 1, or visit www.holmstadbazaar.com/.

Proceeds raised from the bazaar are used by residents for the Benevolent Care Fund, graduation gifts and scholarships for high school food servers, library books, music for the choir, woodshop and craft materials for resident projects, and donations to area nonprofits.
