College of Lake County Board of Trustees nominating petitions available for 2023 election

Nominating petitions for two positions on the College of Lake County (CLC) Board of Trustees are now available. Candidates for the positions will be placed on the ballot for the April 4, 2023, Consolidated Election in Lake County.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 20, election petition packets are available in the CLC Business Services and Finance office, Building E room E186, at CLC's Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington Street, and online at www.clcillinois.edu/election. Masks are recommended but optional on campus.

The term of the office for each position is six years. The college is governed by a seven-member board of trustees, elected from among the citizens of Community College District No. 532, to ensure local accountability.

The period for filing nominating papers is Dec. 12-19. Election nominating papers will be accepted in person in the college's Business Services and Finance office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Dec. 12 through Friday, Dec. 16 and on Monday, Dec. 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Trustee nominating papers may be viewed at the College of Lake County Business Services and Finance office. Objections to nomination papers of a candidate may be filed from Dec. 20-22, and Jan. 3-4, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The college is closed for winter break Dec. 23 - Jan. 2.
