Algonquin church to install new pastor Aug. 24

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Algonquin recently announced the installation of the Rev. Jeremy Latzke as its new pastor.

The installation will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the church, 300 Jefferson St., one block west of Route 31 near Towne Park.

Presiding over the installation is the Rev. Allan R. Buss of the Northern Illinois District, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

All are welcome.

Pastor Latzke grew up in Northern Illinois, attended Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois for his undergraduate studies and graduated with a Masters in Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.

He most recently served at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Chenoa, Illinois.

St. John's is excited to welcome Pastor Lutzke and his wife, Ruth, and their two sons, Isaac and Ethan.
