Lisle Library District offers money-saving resources

Saving money and spending wisely is important to any community and the Lisle Library District is here to meet ths need. August and September features programs that aim to assist patrons with finances, purchases and retirement.

"We are fortunate to have partnerships and resources that help LLD patrons make informed financial decisions, be it planning for retirement or managing their investments," said Adult Programming Librarian Xavier Duran.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, the virtual class "Research Investments with Morningstar" will provide information about using the Morningstar database. The online resource has data and analysis for international and domestic stocks, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.

Jim Flanagan of Bentron Financial will present the online program, "Can You Afford to Retire?" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Flanagan will explain how benefits are calculated, when to file to maximize benefits and more.
