The gala will be an in-person celebration starting at 5 p.m., with an option to attend virtually at 7 p.m.

"ECC and our exceptional community has so much to be proud of and to celebrate - and that's what our annual Gala is all about," said David Davin, executive director of Institutional Advancement and the ECC Foundation. "It's also a night to raise funds to support our hardworking students and ensure the future vitality of our region. We look forward to seeing everyone with an interest in helping our students build a bright future for themselves and our community join us there!"

The 2022 honorees include ECC Friend of Education - Tom Roeser; Exceptional Friend of the ECC Foundation - Jeanne Sigman; Distinguished Alumni of the Year - Kayla Chase, Ph.D., Class of 2006; Esteemed Recent Alumni - Jacob Arndt, Class of 2013; and the Lasting Impact Award winners - ECC Trustee John Duffy and JPMorgan Chase, represented by Leslie Maloney.

Organized by the Elgin Community College Foundation, proceeds from the event go directly toward the Resources for Excellence Fund, which supports the areas of greatest student need, including emergency assistance and scholarship awards.
