'Lot o' Shakespeare' one-man-show comes to Long Grove Aug. 6

Award-winning Shakespearean actor Timothy Mooney is bringing his critically acclaimed "Lot o' Shakespeare" to the gazebo at Buffalo Creek Park in downtown Long Grove.

Mooney presents a wild, randomized ride through the most fun and stirring speeches that ever spilled from Shakespeare's pen.

"Lot o' Shakespeare" features monologues chosen entirely at random by the spinning of a bingo cage. Mooney turns Shakespeare skeptics into Bard lovers in the course of a single hour.

A Buffalo Grove native, Mooney has presented this work all over the U.S. "Lot o' Shakespeare" is a dynamic tour de force of vocal and physical pyrotechnics.

Sponsored by the Long Grove Park District, this free performance will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, over Long Grove's Vintage Days weekend.

Come early, and check out Long Grove's Vintage Days street market, shops and eateries.

Buffalo Creek Park is on Old McHenry Road, just north of Robert Parker Coffin Road (next to the Tavern). Park at Stempel or Archer parking lots in downtown Long Grove.
