Roselle celebrating 100 years with House & Garden Walk July 9

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Village of Roselle, the Roselle Park District Garden Club and the Village of Roselle Centennial House Walk Committee are hosting a House and Garden Walk on Saturday, July 9.

The walk will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features self-guided tours of six homes and six gardens throughout the Village of Roselle.

See six unique Roselle homes that cover a wide range of architectural styles including Victorian, bungalow, modern and contemporary and then explore amazing gardens with features including stunning plant life, a swim in pond complete with Koi fish, a quaint babbling water feature, raised vegetable gardens, stunning patios, shade and sun gardens, along with eager homeowners ready to share their tips for gardening, all while strolling through the quaint Village of Roselle.

Visit the homes and gardens at your own pace while gathering inspiration as you go along. Local Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions.

The walk begins at Roselle Village Hall and ends at the Fenz House at Lynfred Winery for one complimentary glass of wine.

Advance tickets for the House and Garden Walk are available at Platt Hill Nursery in Bloomingdale and at the front desk of the Roselle Park District Clauss Recreation Center, 555 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., or at www.rparks.org/event/garden-house-walk.

Tickets are $25 per person or $20 for age 65 or older. Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted the Roselle Park District. Tickets may be purchased for $30, cash only, by 1 p.m. the day of the event. Garden walk maps/tickets are available at the Roselle Village Hall, 31 S. Prospect, on the morning of the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities including, the Roselle Park District Garden Club Scholarship and IMPACT Garden, and the Roselle Arts and Cultural Foundation.
