Fox Valley Brass Band to perform summer concert June 26 in Aurora

Fox Valley Brass Band will put on a "Summer Concert" at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora.

You will hear traditional brass band standards by Malcolm Arnold and William Himes, a Spanish march, brass choir music of Eric Ewazen, a Bach fugue, several patriotic selections, and a lovely rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" featuring tenor horn soloist Nick Lambert.

The Fox Valley Brass Band is under the direction of Victor Anderson who currently serves as music department chair and director of bands at Yorkville High School.

In addition to conducting the Fox Valley Brass Band, Anderson also conducts the Yorkville Community Band and is artistic director for the Yorkville Big Band. He earned his bachelor's degree in music education at Illinois Wesleyan University and his master's degree at the University of Illinois. Anderson resides with his wife, Alison, and three children in North Aurora.
