Local Resident Receives Academic Recognition from McKendree University
Sonia Halabi of South Barrington, Ill. made the President's List at McKendree University by maintaining high grades during the spring 2022 semester.
Halabi is the daughter of Tarek Halabi and Ulka Puri of South Barrington, Ill., and 2021 graduate of Barrington High School.
McKendree University students earn President's List recognition by maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The Dean's List requires a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
Founded in 1828, McKendree University's historic Lebanon, Ill., campus is 25 miles from St. Louis, Mo. McKendree also offers degree programs online. It is one of U.S. News' "Best Regional Universities," "Best Value Schools," and "Best Colleges for Veterans" in the Midwest. www.mckendree.edu
