Prairie Arts Festival returns to Schaumburg with art, food, music

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Prairie Arts Festival will return to Schaumburg.

The 33rd annual festival, which features a fine art and fine craft exhibition sale, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29, outdoors on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Prairie Arts Festival will showcase the work of approximately 100 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters and other artists. The event will feature entertainment on three stages that will include jazz, bluegrass/Celtic, folk, world and acoustic guitar, blues, and string music by an array of artists and musicians.

Art activities for children will also be available, and a food truck and vendor court will offer food for purchase.
