Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival returning May 28-29

The village of Schaumburg has announced the return of its 33rd annual Prairie Arts Festival taking place over Memorial Day weekend.

The festival, featuring a fine art and craft exhibition sale, will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday outdoors on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg. Art activities for children also will be available as part of the festival.

The event is free and open to the public.

It will showcase the work of about 100 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters and other artists. The event will feature entertainment on three stages including jazz, bluegrass/Celtic, folk, world and acoustic guitar, blues, and string music by an array of artists and musicians.

A variety of vendors will be selling food at a food truck/vendor court.
