Preschool students learn about worms on Earth Day

On Monday, April 25, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Westmont explored the life of a worm in celebration of Earth Day.

Leading up to Earth Day, students were learning about worms and the role they play in the environment along with the process of composting. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.

On April 25, the students joined in releasing 2,000 worms throughout the school garden and in composting bins.

The young children got dressed up for the occasion in the likeness of worms, wearing worm hats that they created themselves.
