St. Charles North puts on 'The Drowsy Chaperone' musical April 21-24

St. Charles North High School will present the five-time Tony Award-winning musical "The Drowsy Chaperone" for four live performances.

It will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, April 21-23, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at the school, 255 Red Gate Road.

With book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, "The Drowsy Chaperone" is a "musical within a comedy" that will have audiences stomping to the music and laughing in their seats.

This infamous and hysterical musical begins with a man in a chair who wants to share the record of his most beloved fictitious 1928 musical "The Drowsy Chaperone" with the audience. Suddenly, the recording comes to life in his own living room as we relive the musical along with the "Man In Chair."

St. Charles North's musical has over 70 students involved from the cast on stage, to the tech backstage, and the musicians in the orchestra pit. Come see one of the best musical farces, and enjoy classic numbers such as "Show Off," "As We Stumble Along," and "Toledo Surprise."

Tickets are $10 or $5 for children or students.
