New Tradition Chorus ready to entertain again with great a cappella sound
Submitted by Lee Kingdon
The New Tradition Chorus is celebrating 40 years of singing together at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, at the First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton, in Arlington Heights.
This a cappella group, formed in 1982, has never missed a weekly rehearsal during COVID-19. They met weekly on Zoom and created several virtual video concerts.
Now, they are excited to be back on stage to share their a cappella style with a variety of songs like "My Way," "Almost Like Being in Love," "I'm Beginning to See the Light," "If I Only Had a Brain," and many more. You can view and listen to their contest presentation of "If I Only Had a Brain" on their website at www.newtradition.org/newtrad2012.
Tickets are available for $15 by calling (847) 461-9246 or online at www.newtraditon.org. Tickets are $18 the day of the show at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights.
Vaccination and masks required; please see website for COVID-19 safety protocols at this event.
