Northwest Symphony concert features Young Artist winner

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra will perform its second concert of the 2021-2022 season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

Music director Tim Semanik will conduct the orchestra in a program that features 2021 Paul Vermel Young Artist Award winner Louis Auxenfans performing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.

The concert will also include Valse Triste by Jean Sibelius and Robert Schumann's epic Third Symphony ("Rhenish").

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors age 65 or older, and $10 for students with ID. Children younger than 14 are admitted free if attending with an adult who has purchased a ticket.

Season tickets for the four-concert series are $60 (adults), $45 (seniors), and $30 (students), a series savings of 25%.

Patrons may purchase tickets at the door on the day of the concert using cash, checks or credit cards through the Northwest Symphony Orchestra's website, www.northwestsymphonyorchestra.org, or by calling (847) 965-7271.

Masks and proof of vaccination are required.

This concert is presented in partnership with District 214 Community Education.
