Ivanhoe Club Named Distinguished Club by BoardRoom Magazine

Ivanhoe Club today announced it has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Club award, as determined by the annual Distinguished Clubs award program conducted by BoardRoom magazine, one of the most respected trade publications serving private clubs. This is the fourth consecutive year Ivanhoe Club, located just west of Mundelein, has been awarded this distinction and is one of only four clubs in the state to be named a Distinguished Club.

For fine private clubs that operate at the highest standards, BoardRoom magazine's entirely merit-based Distinguished Clubs award program uses a club-specific rating system that recognizes the club, its management, and its staff based on a proprietary criteria and evaluation process that distills and measures a club's Member Experience.

"We are honored to have been named a Distinguished Club on the heels of another record year for our great club," said David Passaglia, Ivanhoe Club President. "In a year when labor shortages and supply chain disruptions impacted so many clubs, our employees stepped up to ensure the member experience remained at the exceptional level our members and guests have come to expect."

Boardroom magazine developed the Distinguished Clubs award program to recognize and share - with the private club industry as a whole - what it is that Distinguished Clubs do differently, and to do so with the specific goal of improving the Member Experience at every private club, and thereby helping to preserve the institution of private clubs for many future generations.

"On behalf of BoardRoom magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide, we'd like to congratulate Ivanhoe Club for earning Distinguished Club status," said John Fornaro, Publisher of BoardRoom magazine. "Special recognition also goes out to Ivanhoe Club's Board of Directors, its department heads, and entire staff for their efforts in providing an excellent member experience."

Opened in 1991, Ivanhoe Club is a private country club that sits on a spectacular 380 acre property, with award-winning Arthur Hills-designed 27-holes of golf, 67,000 square foot clubhouse, tennis courts, competition-sized pool, 200 homes on site and the distinction of being regularly recognized as one of the Top 20 championship golf courses in Illinois.

The recognition comes on the heels of a record membership year for Ivanhoe Club and following the addition of a brand-new patio outside the men's' and ladies' locker rooms complete with additional seating, fire pits, a bar and TV overlooking the award-winning golf course.
