Make 2022 memorable with winter activities at Wheeling Park District
Start the New Year out right enjoying winter activities at the Wheeling Park District.
Take some time for yourself knowing your children (ages 5-10 years) are well supervised and having fun at Super Hero Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 14. Budding superheroes put their powers to the test on an obstacle course, take a break for pizza and write a letter to their favorite superhero. Register by Jan. 11; the fee is $15/in-district, $20/out-of-district.
Bring the kids and all your friends to Family Bingo Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at the Community Recreation Center. Prizes for bingo add to the fun. Everyone attending must register by Jan. 20. The in-district fee is $6 per person; out-of-district is $8 per person.
Winterfest 2022 is coming to Heritage Park from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23. This free, fun-filled event offers activities for all ages including, weather permitting, penguin egg-hunt, winter games, arts and crafts and more. No registration is required.
Those 55 years and older are invited to sign up for trips and activities that focus on active adult interests. Try your luck at Hollywood Aurora Casino from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20. Play 10 games of Bingo with prizes every round at the Community Recreation Center from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Spend an afternoon exploring 33 exhibits at the Volo Auto Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8. All of these programs require advance registration.
