Quintet Attacca to perform 'Holiday Classics with a Twist!' Dec. 6

On Monday, Dec. 6, the Chamber Music on the Fox season continues with "Winter Winds: Holiday Classics with a Twist!" by Quintet Attacca at 7:30 p.m. at Discovery Church, 200 Prairie St. in Elgin.

From "The Nutcracker" and classic Christmas melodies to the lesser known works of American composer Bill Holcombe, Mexican composer Arturo Marquez, and Hungarian composer Endre Szervansky, Quintet Attacca is sure to delight in this festive program celebrating the holidays.

General admission tickets are $20 or $10 for students.

Masks must be worn, fully covering the mouth and nose at all times. Extra masks will be available at the door. Social distancing also will be encouraged.

The season continues in February with First Blacks Chicago featuring Crossing Borders Music Collective at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at First Congregational Church of Dundee, 900 S. Eighth St. in West Dundee.

Axiom Brass will explore "Lust, Mystery and Despair" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Discovery Church in Elgin.

The season will wrap up with "Perspectives" featuring Third Coast Percussion at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, at the Highland Loft, 168 E. Highland Ave. in Elgin.
