Christmas concert with singer Adam Hendrickson celebrates an afternoon of music Dec. 4

The Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts at Judson University will hold its annual Christmas Concert of Worship at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, in Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State St. (Route 31) in Elgin.

This popular holiday event will feature baritone and DCWPA adjunct vocal instructor, Adam Hendrickson. Prof. Hendrickson is a graduate of Ball State University (Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance) and Northwestern University (Master of Music in Opera and Vocal Literature).

He is also the director of music and worship at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights.

Hendrickson will delight the audience with a variety of Christmas repertoire.

Also performing will be the ministry ensembles of the DCWPA, including the Chamber Singers, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, Piano Ensemble, and the University Choir.

The concert will also be streamed via Judson's Youtube channel and www.facebook.com/JudsonU. The concert is free, however there will be a free-will love offering. Masks are to be worn.

In addition to lively music, there will be the annual Friends of Judson Bake Sale and Christmas Craft Sale before, after and at intermission in the foyer/narthex.

The audience should be prepared to wear a mask if the state of Illinois and the CDC continue to recommend masks be worn in such venues at the time of the concert.
