Glen Ellyn Rotary Club to host 35th annual Citrus Sale

The Glen Ellyn Rotary Club has been hosting its Citrus Sale fundraiser for over 35 years to fund community grants and local scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

This is the club's largest fundraising effort. During these uncertain times, the needs in the community are greater than ever.

If you're not interested in purchasing oranges or grapefruits, consider making a monetary donation.

The goal is to provide over $40,000 in scholarships and community grants this year. Some community grants provided in the past include funds for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, Cosley Zoo, BR Ryall YMCA, and many more.

Scholarships support Glenbard West and Glenbard South high school students.

The cost is $40 for a full case of navel oranges, Ruby Red grapefruits, or a combo of both (approximately 40 lbs.).

Cost for a half-case of oranges or grapefruits is $25.

Orders and donations can be placed online at www.glenellynrotary.org and click on "Order Citrus."

It is subject to an additional $2 processing fee.

The Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn thanks all who support this fundraiser as we work together to fulfil the mission of "Service Above Self" and support those who do the same in the community.

Last day to order citrus is Saturday, Nov. 27.

Orders can be picked up from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 11, at Village Links Golf Course, 485 Winchell Way in Glen Ellyn.

For information on the club, visit www.glenellynrotary.org.

The club meets at noon Thursdays at Glen Oak Country Club, 21W451 Hill Ave. in Glen Ellyn.
