Chicago veteran nonprofit Rags of Honor1 hosts Jump For Vets at United Center Nov. 7

Rags of Honor1, a veteran non-profit agency located in Chicago, and POW! GYM Chicago will host their 3rd Annual "Jump for Vets" event Sunday, November 7 at the United Center Atrium from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Taking place just days before Veteran's Day, the event will raise funds and support for Chicagoland veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress.

The "Jump for Vets" event at the United Center will feature a live DJ and provide participants with a free T-shirt, water, coffee and bananas for participants. Jump ropes are available for those who do not have their own.

The "Jump for Vets" event will raise money to fund Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) procedures for Chicagoland veterans suffering from PTS. The procedure, which has a high rate of success in treating post-traumatic stress conditions, costs $1800, and is not currently covered by either the VA or civilian health insurance. New and emerging research suggests that SGB helps alleviate certain PTS symptoms for those veterans who have not found relief from traditional treatments such as therapy and medication.

Each individual jumper is asked to donate a minimum of $22, and teams of ten are asked to donate $220. Corporate sponsorships are available for $2200.

Doors open at 8 am, event runs from 9 am -10:30am

United Center Atrium, 1901 W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60612
