Residents can take part in Palatine Township's Angel Tree program

The Angel Tree program, one of four holiday programs managed by Palatine Township, launched with the arrival of decorated "Angel" ornaments on the two Christmas trees in the township lobby on Monday, Nov. 1.

The age, wish list, and first name of a child or senior citizen will be listed on the colorful ornaments.

Donors can visit the township to select their Angel Tree recipient and "check out" at the front desk. Donors are asked to spend between $25 and $35 per "Angel."

The deadline to drop off gifts is Friday, Dec. 3.

Please wrap or gift-bag the present and include the paper "Angel" ornament on the gift so the township can deliver it to the proper recipient.

"Palatine Township is blessed to have the support of an amazingly generous community. Our holiday programs help those who are experiencing financial challenges and brings some joy to a time of recovery and healing," said Supervisor Andy-John G. Kalkounos.

"We are deeply grateful to receive community support for Angel Tree, Adopt-A-Family, Thanksgiving Baskets and our Toy Drive."
