Streamwood Park District's Safely Trunk-or-Treat sponsored by Streamwood Smiles

The Annual Trick-or-Treat Event Has Moved Indoors

On Friday, October 29, from 5-7 pm the Streamwood Park District's annual "Safely Trunk-or-Treat" event will be moved indoors due to the weather forecast for that day. Safely Trunk-or-Treat is a safe alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating.

Trick-or-treaters will be greeted by business and community members handing out treats from tables stationed inside of the gymnasium.

Upon entering the gymnasium, parents and their amazingly-dressed trick-or-treaters will have an opportunity to take pictures in front of a decorated backdrop. Patrons are responsible for their own pictures and camera. The Streamwood Park District will not be supplying photographs.

"Safely Trunk-or-Treat is one of the most popular events we offer to the community. It creates an opportunity for local businesses to provide a safe alternative to trick or treating. We're fortunate enough to be able to have a backup plan for situations like this where the weather alters our original plans."Recreation Manager Michelle Wolverton says.

Once trick-or-treaters have completed their trip around the tables, courageous event-goers will have the opportunity to leave the gymnasium via a "Haunted Tunnel."

Safely Trunk-or-Treat is a free event and will take place inside the gymnasium of Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy. Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy is located at 550 S. Park Blvd. in Streamwood.
