Molshree "Molly" A. Sharma, a partner at the family law firm of Boyle Feinberg Sharma, was named to the 2018 Chicago's Notable Women Lawyers list by Crain's Custom Media, a subsidiary of Crain's Chicago Business.

The award recognizes 150 women who are considered to be Chicago-area legal industry leaders that serve with distinction as advocates for their clients.

Among Sharma's legal specialties are international jurisdictional issues in matters relating to parental abduction and custody. She is a published author who has organized numerous conferences on The Hague Convention regarding civil aspects of child abduction, and has given lectures in Washington D.C., for lawyers, parents and professionals on international custody matters.

Sharma began practicing law in 2004, joining family law attorneys Janet Boyle and Joy Feinberg to form Boyle Feinberg Sharma in December of 2017. Boyle Feinberg Sharma has offices in Chicago and Arlington Heights.

• Northwest Community Healthcare Medical Group welcomed Dr. David J. Pohl, a family medicine and sports medicine physician to its staff. Dr. Pohl will be seeing patients at the 1450 Busch Parkway, Suite 100, Buffalo Grove location.

Dr. Pohl earned a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed a family medicine residency at St. John Providence Health System, Osteopathic Division and a sports medicine fellowship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Dr. Pohl is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

• District 102 named Dana Tamez as principal of Aptakisic Junior High School, replacing Eli Rogers, who was promoted to Student Services coordinator.

Tamez has administrative experience from early childhood through high school. She served as a high school teacher and world language department chairwoman at Jones College Prep High School and then accepted a position as assistant principal of Hawthorn Middle School South for four years. Most recently, she was the principal at Winkelman School for two years.

Tamez holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in teaching and learning from DePaul University, and a master's degree in administration and supervision from the University of Illinois.

• James Doerr, a criminal defense attorney at Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law, is the featured presenter on a monthly podcast, Liberty and the Law, which focuses on the legal process and defendants' rights. The podcast has been recording for two years and talks through legal processes by looking at recent rulings in Constitutional law, particularly rulings coming out of the U.S. Supreme Court.

A graduate of Benedictine University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Doerr has two decades of courtroom experience, guiding clients through the criminal justice system and protecting their individual freedoms.
