Enjoy Door County Dining with Rolling Meadows Park District

Rolling Meadows Park District is hosting a good old fashioned Door County Fish Boil!

Set for 5-7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, Rolling Restaurants: Fitzgerald's Fish Boil will feature live music and a flavorful fall dinner of North Atlantic cod, barbecue chicken with homemade barbecue sauce, coleslaw, potatoes, onions and fresh rye bread. Dessert includes frosted apple squares. The event takes place at the Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive.

Creating the ultimate Door County atmosphere, Fitzgerald's Genoa Junction of Genoa City, Wisconsin, will boil the fish in outdoor kettles in the Community Center parking lot.

"People love the experience of watching the caldrons boil over with the large flames," said Recreation Supervisor Kailey Schwartzhoff. "It's definitely a sight to see, followed by a fantastic feast with all the trimmings you'd expect at a traditional Door County fish boil. We'; re excited to have Fitzgerald's bring this culinary art to Rolling Meadows."

Registration is required. Cost is $27 for adults and children ages 12 and older and $10 for children ages 5-11. Children ages 4 and younger eat free.
