Covenant Living of Northbrook residents donate to first responders, library and food pantry

Residents at Covenant Living of Northbrook demonstrated their spirit of giving back to the greater community during a luncheon where donations were given to representatives from the Northbrook Police and Fire departments, the Northbrook Library and the Northfield Township Food Pantry. Funds for the donations are raised from items sold during the senior living community's annual Holly Fair.

"We weren't able to hold this event in 2020 because of COVID restrictions and so we're thrilled to finally be able to do this," said Bob Martin, Covenant Living of Northbrook resident and acting Holly Fair chairperson. "We believe in being good neighbors and providing these donations is our way of showing appreciation for everything these organizations do, not only for us, but for the entire Northbrook area."

The ceremony included remarks by Hilde Sager, Covenant Living of Northbrook's executive director and Kathryn Ciesla, president, village of Northbrook. The presentation event was held in Covenant Living's Fellowship Center with residents in attendance and was also broadcast on the in-house television channel.
