Safe Suburbs USA to host Honoring Our Heroes kickoff July 4

Safe Suburbs USA, a public safety advocacy group, is hosting its second annual Honoring Our Heroes Fourth of July kickoff.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 4, at the Naperville Grand Pavilon located downtown Naperville behind the Naperville VFW Hall and Centennial Beach.

Live renditions of the national anthem will be performed by Naperville community leader Chad Pedigo and "God Bless America" will be played on bagpipes by Naperville's Colin Gavin.

The event will be co-moderated by Safe Suburbs USA's founder Kevin Coyne and by Naperville community leader Lisa Gangi.

Numerous speakers will offer brief comments celebrating local first responders and veterans.

Speakers include Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico, Lisle Mayor Chris Pecak, Naperville City Councilmen Paul Leong and Patty Gustin, as well as by a number of DuPage County judges, other elected officials, and community leaders.

Safe Suburbs USA is a community organization and political action committee founded to promote public safety and the welfare of suburban residents throughout the U.S. They advocate and educate on issues relating to crime and its effect on surburban families.
