Schaumburg's Summer Breeze Concert Series returns
Summer Breeze, Schaumburg's popular outdoor concert series, returns to the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center after more than a year since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered arts programming in the village.
"Summer Breeze is a great way to tell our community that we're back and ready to entertain again," says Schaumburg Cultural Arts Director Jack Netter.
The integration of social distancing measures into the series will help provide a "safe, enjoyable experience for our patrons," according to Netter.
To maintain continued health and safety, masks are required for unvaccinated individuals, per CDC/IDPH guidance.
This year, the series will offer socially distanced seating through ticket purchases of Lawn Spaces, designated areas 10 feet in diameter that can accommodate up to five people per space. Spaces, $20 each, will be at least six feet apart, allowing for distanced access to and from the concert lawn.
Although Lawn Spaces are sold out for a number of shows, free admission is available in areas often used by Summer Breeze concert goers. The municipal center plaza, the lawn adjacent to the village hall, and grounds surrounding the ticketed area are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All attendees will also have access to any concessions sold at performances.

All performances will begin at 7 p.m.
• Saturday, June 12: Do312 and Coors Light presents Rock 'n' Reel. Summer Breeze kicks off with a special event featuring a live performance by '80s tribute pop band 16 Candles, followed by a screening of John Hughes' classic film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
• Saturday, June 19: Rock 'n' Reel II. It's a night of nonstop moptop pop when the Chicago area Beatles tribute band American English play the Fab Four's hits. Then, Paul, George, and Ringo star in the classic film "A Hard Day's Night" the way it was meant to be seen - on a big screen in hi-fidelity mono.
• Saturday, June 26: The Voices. Midwest R&B multi-tribute artist The Voices delivers performances of legends of R&B, including The Temptations, Four Tops, Spinners, Stylistics, Chilites, Isley Brothers, Barry White and others.
• Saturday, July 10: Maggie Speaks. Dynamic Chicago area cover band with a dedicated regional following.
• Saturday, July 17: Mason Rivers. With a sound that's "bigger than country, stronger than rock," the Mason Rivers band delivers a crowd-pleasing mix of county-western standards alongside recent chart-toppers.
• Saturday, July 24: The Chicago Experience. "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?," "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," "Saturday in the Park," and other hits by legendary rock group Chicago are faithfully rendered.
• Saturday, Aug. 14: Dancing Queen. Two female vocalists backed by a full band re-create the look, feel, and sound of pop band ABBA.
• Saturday, Aug. 21: Second Hand Soul Band. An accomplished outfit plays party music through the ages, from Motown to soul, rock and pop.
