Buffalo Creek Brewing Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Outdoors this May

Buffalo Creek Brewing (BCB) in historic downtown Long Grove is giving live music-starved people not one, but two themed outdoor concerts each Saturday this May to celebrate the launch of their Summer Concert Series. The destination brewery known for its handcrafted German-style beer, expansive outdoor grounds and biergarten, and lively atmosphere "is not only a place that's centered around the art of brewing, it's a shared space that connects people and friends," said Owner/Brewmaster Mike Marr.

Here's a look at some of the key happenings this May at Buffalo Creek Brewing:

Summer Concert Series: May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

May marks the official kickoff to BCB's new outdoor Summer Concert Series. Already known for its weekly Pint of Music performances, BCB brings fans double Pints of Music this May! Two notable local musical acts will perform complimentary "themed" concerts each Saturday (3 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.) this month in the outdoor biergarten, allowing hundreds of fans to sit socially distanced at BCB picnic tables or on their own blankets. The indoor pandemic restrictions of 2020 caused BCB to rethink its popular Pint of Music concept, which resulted in the creation of an outdoor main stage and the filling of a void left from closed music venues throughout the suburbs. As May brings warmer weather and longer days, BCB is proud to indulge with more music.

May 1: It's "Dude Sounds Like a Lady Night" as Donna Brooks and Company followed by Olivia Love will be performing some of the best hits that men originally performed.

May 8: It's "90s Night" as Ryan Trudeau will kick off the day with his solo version of the best alternative genre of tunes immediately followed-up with BCB staple, The L&M Experience, with ultimate 90s covers.

May 15: It's "Tribute to the Best One-Man Bands Ever Night" as M.G. Bailey lays the down the lead first with his punk rock swag followed by Jaik Willis and his one-man rock symphony.

May 22: It's "Country Rumble Night" with Darryl Markette's country show wetting the whistle first followed by the return of Tiny County and their full Blue Grass experience. May 29: It's "Deep Cuts and B-Sides Night" to cap off the first month of the Summer Concert Series with E-Man slinging everyone's favorite rare songs, then the good times keep rolling with the Timeless Ideals who also specialize in the best forgotten songs from great artists.

July 3: It's "America Day" at BCB. Mike encourages people to mark their calendars for a special tribute to Independence Day featuring a morning parade throughout historic downtown Long Grove ending in BCB's backyard, where a full Boston Pops-themed complimentary concert by the renowned, 40-plus piece Lake County Symphony Orchestra will ensue. Food trucks, a mellow 5-piece jazz band at 3 p.m., and other family-friendly activities will round out this summer salute to the U.S.A. (More details to come in subsequent release).

Food Truck Pop-Up Night: May 1, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28

BCB's renowned Food Truck Pop-Up Night is back with some of the most popular local food trucks every week in the biergarten from 5 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, May 1, Smokin' T's will be serving up original BBQ recipes; Thursday, May 6, a special stop by the Happy Lobster Truck serving up Maine Lobster magic (pre-orders are required by contacting the brewery in advance at info@buffalocreekbrewing.com); Friday, May 7, Mario's Cart serving up their signature street tacos and burritos; Saturday, May 8, Lucky Burger & Grill serving up award-winning burgers; May 14, Aztec Dave's serving up authentic Mexican; May 15, Stadium Street Eats serving up Chicago style hot dogs and more; May 21, Smokin' T's makes an encore stop; May 22, Billy Brick's serving up wood-fired pizzas; May 28, Mario's Cart returns to close out a very fulfilling month.

Buffalo Creek Brewing is Lake County's only destination brewery located in the heart of downtown Long Grove (about 30 miles NW of Chicago). What makes the brewery a destination? It's not in a warehouse or an old rundown building, but instead settled in a transformed art studio on two acres of wooded land in the middle of a historic village. The state-of-the-art brewing facility features Bavarian-style beer and themed taproom, private event room, brew masters lounge, biergarten patio, and sprawling, scenic lawns with picnic table and fire pits spacious enough for gaming and extra social distancing. Buffalo Creek Brewing complies with State and local COVID-19 health and safety regulations to protect customers and staff, including tables distanced at least 6-feet apart, the implementation of sanitation stations, and mask-wearing when not seated. www.buffalocreekbrewing.com
