The Bloomingdale Garden Club will host its annual spring flower and plant sale on Friday and Saturday, May 14-15.

This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomingdale Park District maintenance building, 259 Springfield Drive in Bloomingdale. The building is located on the north end of Springfield Park between Schick Road and Lake Street.

The sale will feature professionally grown annuals in pots and flats, including premium 10- and 12-inch hanging baskets, geraniums and accent plants, specialty annuals, cannas, grasses, tropicals and King Tuts grasses, grasses, vegetables, and herbs, as well as perennials from members' gardens.

There also will be a Master Gardener help desk, gardening items for sale, and raffles.

They will be accepting cash, check or credit cards (Discover, Master Card, Visa, American Express).

You can pre-order your plants and save by ordering by April 15. You'll save money over the day-of-sale prices. Orders can be picked-up days of sale, Friday, May 14, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 15, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Order forms are available at www.bloomingdalegardenclub.org.

Proceeds support area charities and garden club monthly programs.
